Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to come with better Night mode, AI optimized 200 MP photos
Anticipated to debut in mid-January, Samsung is poised to unveil the
Galaxy S24 series, with the S24 Ultra positioned as the company's most
advanced cameraphone to date. Recent reports suggest notable
enhancements to the Ultra's Night mode, along with the introduction of a
new 200 MP mode featuring AI optimization. Ice Universe mentioned that
the algorithm is designed to identify 12 different types of objects,
optimizing them to deliver superior image quality.
Exclusive to the Galaxy S24 Ultra in the lineup, Samsung's choice for a chipset is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a platform launched by Qualcomm with substantial commitments to advanced AI operations. The Ultra is poised to fully leverage the capabilities of this new chipset.
Earlier disclosures have hinted at Samsung's plans to enhance image processing, enabling users to edit photos post-processing through a Photo Remaster feature. Another anticipated upgrade is the integration of the Neutral Density filter, currently present in the Expert RAW app but considered experimental; it is expected to receive official status with the launch of the S24 Ultra.
