Boy from UP marries Dutch girlfriend as per Hindu Customs

Hardik, who lived in a village in Fatehpur, had moved to the Netherlands for work. He secured a job as a supervisor in a pharmaceutical company, where he met Gabriela and fell in love.

The couple tied the knot on November 29 as per Hindu rituals. They will return to the Netherlands on December 25 where they will also have a Christian wedding ceremony in a church.

Hardik Verma, 32, from Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur district tied the knot with his girlfriend Gabriela Duda, 21, who is a resident of the Netherlands.

The couple exchanged vows on Wednesday (November 29) and completed all the matrimonial rites as per Hindu customs.

Hardik, who lived in a village in Fatehpur, had moved to the Netherlands for work. He secured a job as a supervisor in a pharmaceutical company, where he met his colleague, Gabriela.

The duo got closer and eventually, Hardik expressed his love for Gabriela, following which they got into a relationship.

After three years of living together, the couple decided to marry — a decision they shared with Hardik's parents over the phone.

Last week, Hardik returned to his home town with Gabriela, where they were warmly welcomed by his family. The villagers and family members participated in the wedding celebrations.

Hardik told India Today that on December 3, his family would travel to Gujarat's Gandhinagar where they currently live.

The reason for having the wedding in Fatehpur was their ancestral home being there, Hardik added.

Hardik further said that a reception is planned on December 11 in Gandhinagar, which will be attended by Gabriela's father Marcin Duda, her mother Barbara Duda, and other family members.

Following the celebrations in India, Hardik said that the couple would return to the Netherlands on December 25, where they will also have a Christian wedding ceremony in a church.
